Get Moving is a locally based practice in the heart of Birkenhead/Northcote, North Shore. Get Moving was started in response to the demands for effective physiotherapy and acupuncture treatments by locals in the Birkenhead and Northcote community.

Jordan

Director/Senior Physiotherapist/Senior Acupuncturist

Jordan graduated from AUT with a Bachelor in Health Science in Physiotherapy, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Traditional Acupuncture.

Jordan has extensive experience as a physiotherapist and acupuncturist working in local physiotherapy clinics; as well as in Darwin, Australia.

Jordan has a special interest in musculoskeletal conditions. He combines his knowledge in medical health science and Traditional Chinese medicine to provide a holistic approach to his treatment. In addition to his physiotherapy techniques, he also offers acupuncture. He has seen immense improvements in hard to treat conditions such as sciatica pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, and frozen shoulder.

In his spare time, he likes going to the gym, photography and spending time with his young family.

Rachel

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Practitioner

With a Bachelor’s degree of Traditional Chinese Medicine from China, Rachel has worked as an Acupuncturist both in several hospitals in China and private practices in New Zealand. Over the past few years in NZ, Rachel has shifted from clinical practices to educational and academic sector, before she came back to clinical work again. This unique journey has given Rachel a solid foundation in her TCM theory, which will enrich her treatment philosophies and provide a wider vision for her practice.

Her specialty and passion is not only pain management, but also internal health, such as sleeping disorders, digestive issues, or other chronic conditions–which she believes is what acupuncture can really offer.

Her unique approach is to combine various TCM methods to achieve your healing goal, such as acupuncture, cupping (mobile cupping, flash cupping, retaining cupping), electro acupuncture (stimulator), moxibustion, manual therapy, blood-letting therapy, pulse taking, tongue observing, advice on exercise, diet and herbs.

Rachel’s personal interest includes Yoga, music and reading.

Frances Fu

Acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Practitioner

Frances grew up on the campus of a Traditional Chinese Medicine university in China. Immersed in the world of TCM from a young age, it has instilled in her a deep appreciation for the wisdom and
healing power of TCM and laid a solid cultural foundation for her career path to become a well qualified and compassionate TCM practitioner.

She is driven by a profound love for using her knowledge and skills to help people. This passion is the driving force that propels her forward in daily practice and continued professional development. She has followed many great TCM masters in China and abroad year after year. She is dedicated to supporting you on your journey to successful rehabilitation and good health.
